Guided, supported road cycling tour, 6 days along Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, including sections of the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail. Meet in Thornbury, then shuttle to Port Elgin to start the tour. The first few days focus on Lake Huron, with its spectacular beaches, historic lighthouses, and vibrant villages: Stops include MacGregor Point Provincial Park, Port Elgin, and Southampton. Spend two days exploring the Bruce Peninsula, where Georgian Bay awaits under the white cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment. Keep going along Georgian Bay and some country roads through Owen Sound and Meaford before finishing up in The Blue Mountains.

Port Elgin to MacGregor Point 

After transferring to Port Elgin, and a bike check, we ride the scenic Lake Huron shore to MacGregor Point provincial Park and back. Accommodation is the delightful waterfront Paradise Inn.

Port Elgin to Wiarton

The first section today follows Lake Huron to lovely Southampton. We then head towards Sauble Beach and Pike Bay, before crossing the Bruce Peninsula to Hope Bay and down to Wiarton through Spirit Rock Conservation Area. We spend the next two nights in Wiarton.

Bruce Peninsula

Today is a long and dreamy day. We go North to explore some of the Bruce Peninsula's most rugged scenery, enjoy the intriguing cliffs, geographical formations, and turquoise waters. Tires that can handle some gravel are suggested today, to get to the most scenic areas!

Wiarton to Owen Sound

Say goodbye to Wiarton and Colpoy's Bay. We head towards Owen Sound, via Big Bay mostly along the water. There will be options for beach and ice cream breaks. Spend the night in the wonderful Best Western on the Bay in Owen Sound.

Owen Sound to Thornbury

More exploration of the Niagara Escarpment as you head east towards The Blue Mountains. We will stop at Inglis Falls and cycle typical Grey County country rolling hills for the first part of the day, then a gentle ride through Meaford and into The Blue Mountains on the Georgian Trail. We enjoy our last dinner together at trendy Penny's Motel where you will spend the night.

Today is up to you! Enjoy Thornbury's relaxing vibes in town or by the beach or go for a ride. You could cycle on the hills and through the orchards at your own pace. We will provide GPX files for self navigation. Ask us if you would like to book an extra night to relax at wonderful Penny's Motel.
